(Kitanomaru Kōen, Kitanomaru National Garden)
After leaving Nippon Budokan we entered the main area of Kitanomaru National Garden.
As suggested by its name, the garden is located at the Kitanomaru area where a couple of historical remains exist. Considering full of buildings and mansions in the central Tokyo, The Kitanomaru National Park with the continuously adjacent East Gardens of Imperial Palace, Kokyogaien National Gardens and Hibiya Park become an oasis of the Tokyo desert. Biking on the park’s roads and walking and forest bathing people are often seen.

There are about 9 million people in the Tokyo 23 wards, and 13 millions in the whole city of Tokyo. Without few huge parks for people’s leisure time some people must get mentally sick. Even it’s impossible to have Kyoto’s natural Arashiyama and Katura River around us, it’s better than seeing all the concrete jungle every day.
